Today marks an eventful day for me. For years, I’ve been creating this project in secret. It began with a sober analysis of the world I lived in. Holy books that I’d been raised not to question had proven fallible, or at least open to serious misinterpretation. Democracies that purported to bring freedom simultaneously brought deceit and destruction. Marketing claiming to make peoples’ lives better was often making them worse. I lived in a world of lies, and I wanted to find truth.
I realized a few things early on. First, I realized that in a world of lies, finding truth often required looking where most others were not. I also realized that truth has no ideology. Any attempt to be “Conservative, liberal, left, or right” had to be thrown out the window. Finally, I learned what is perhaps the hardest truth of all. No system is perfect. We, individually, are responsible for our own happiness at the end of the day.
That being said, systems and structures are important. Systems that are exploitative, inefficient, or authoritarian can make people’s lives unnecessarily difficult. Living under bad systems is like playing a miserable game. Why not create a game that everyone wants to play? That’s the aim of Humano Ludens.
It’s time to release the project to the world. Read the blueprint to learn more, then join the discord community. I can’t wait to take this journey with you all.
