Update 1/30/2024: All Montessori Books listed on the Trello board have been read, two Waldorf books remain. After the books are read, educators from both methodologies will be contacted regarding the particulars of their methods.
Childhood is a time of curiosity and exploration. Yet, we stifle these innate qualities by sitting children at desks for eight hours a day, five days a week, and forcing them to regurgitate test prep. Life isn’t about sitting down, shutting up, and repeating what you’re told. Why, then, are we raising children like this?

Education will be the next research project tackled by the Humano Ludens project. There are alternative education systems, such as Waldorf and Montessori, that are worth exploring. These systems claim to treat children, not as dysfunctional, incomplete adults, but as innately valuable human beings.
If you’re interested in learning about such reforms, consider supporting the Humano Ludens project today. Your contribution will help make education reform accessible to everyone.
